Those applying for assistance through New York’s rent relief program will find it easier to submit their paperwork. Governor Cuomo’s office says documentation standards for both tenants and landlords are now relaxed plus over 1,000 dedicated workers plus hundreds of volunteers are working to clear backlogged applications with the goal of completing payments by the end of August.
