Delaware County Complete Streets Announces Age-Friendly Community Improvement Grant Awards

The Delaware County Complete Streets Committee announces 4 projects received awards from a mini-grant program funded through the Delaware County Rural Healthcare Alliance with grant funding administered by Cornell Cooperative Extension. Chenango County Health Dispensing COVID-19 Boosters For Immune Compromised

The Chenango County Health Department is giving COVID-19 vaccine booster shots for people who have compromised immune systems including those going through cancer treatments, organ transplant recipients or are on medication that suppresses their immune system. An appointment is required. Officials recommend getting a booster from the same manufacturer’s vaccine. Hochul Requests SBA Disaster Declaration For Otsego County

Governor Kathy Hochul requested a disaster declaration for Otsego Conty from the Small Business Administration as a result of the July flooding. Estimated damage is around $1.1 million. If the declaration is approved eligible residents and business owners can apply for low-interest loans to repair or replace damaged property. Cooperstown Celebrates Doubleday Field Centennial On Labor Day

Arkville May Get New Child Care Center From Federal Funding

A new child care center may be coming to Arkville thanks to $100,000 in federal funding. 19th District Congressman Antonio Delgado says he was contacted by the MARK Project which secures resources to build and revitalize the community. More COVID-19 Cases In Otsego & Chenango Counties

19 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Otsego County on Wednesday bringing the active case count to 122. 6 people are hospitalized. Chenango County reported 15 more cases on Wednesday and there are now 96 active cases. 189 people are in quartine and 4 are hospitalized. No additional COVID-19 deaths were reported in either county.

NY Lawmakers In Special Session & Hochul Extends Eviction Moratorium

State lawmakers are back in Albany today for a special session called by Governor Kathy Hochul to address New York’s rent and eviction crisis, the Open Meetings Law, and the state’s cannabis program.
