New York obtains $20 million in federal funding to support addiction treatment providers who were affected by COVID-19. The money will help cover loss of revenue, operating expenses, debt relief and minor renovations. Approximately 350 providers are eligible for funding and officials say the state will notify them of eligibility. An Oneonta man is facing a felony charge for violating a protection order. Police say the man went to a Davenport home on Sept. 19 then went inside harrassing the resident. The City of Oneonta is holding a ribbon cutting on Oct. 12 for the new dog park at Neawha Park. The ceremony takes place at noon. Work on the park has been underway for several months and the city’s Dog Park Comittee did a walk through about a month ago. Chenango County Public Health is holding a Pfizer COVID-19 booster clinic next Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the South Plaza location in Norwich. Hartwick Seminary’s Evangelical Lutheran Church is being recognized and protected through the New York State Register of Historic Places and nominated to the National Register of Historic Places. The director of Harvard University’s Center for Health and Human Rights is appointed to be New York’s next Health Commissioner. Dr. Mary T.
