The director of Harvard University’s Center for Health and Human Rights is appointed to be New York’s next Health Commissioner. Dr. Mary T. Bassett’s 3-decade career has spanned academia, government, and not-for-profit work resulting in a number of awards and honors. Her appointment is effective December 1.
