The Chenango SPCA in Norwich has been selected to receive a half million dollar grant. The funding comes out of an aoverall 3.8 million dollar oackage to support animal shelters across the Empire State. The money is designed to be used to build and install isolation and double-sided kennels, as well as HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems at animal shelters. Grants were awarded from the New York State Companion Animal Capitol Fund to shelters based off a need assessment, detailed project description, and reasonableness of cost.
