The town of Richmondville has been chosen to receive funding for a massive sewer line expansion project. The 11 million dollar project could start as sson as next year. Town Supervisor Jeff Haslun says he found out on Friday that the town will receive 9.6 million dollars of the funding through the federal bipartisan infrastructure law, plus another 4 million dollars in no-interest loans. Richmondville leaders have long been trying to help property owners get rid of their failing septic systems.
