Oneonta Common Council Approves Police Reform Recommendations

The Oneonta Common Council votes to implement the police reforms recommended by the Community Advisory Board. The reforms were the result of a state directive following the 2020 death of George Floyd by Minneapolis Police. Oneonta Gets Grants To Look At Community Heating Systems

The City of Oneonta receives grants from the New York State Energy and Research Development Authority to explore the creation of district-style heat pumps to replace individual fossil fuel heating systems. New Berlin Man Indicted On Federal Child Pornography Charges

A New Berlin man is arraigned on federal child pornography charges. Prosecutors say that the man used a peer-to-peer internet file sharing service to receive and download child pornography between 2009 and 2020 and that he possessed child pornography on multiple devices in June 2020. Witzenburg Named Permanent OPD Chief

Felony Charges Filed In Fishs Edddy Shooting

A man from Fishs Eddy is facing felony charges for firing shots last Friday. Police say they were called about a disturbance at a S. Main St. home and an invetigation found the man fired at two vehicles outside of a residence. No one was injured but two vehicle were damaged.
