Otego Woman Charged With Animal Cruelty

Charges are brought in a cruelty to animals investigation in Otego. The Otsego County Sheriff’s Office says the investigation determined a woman had neglicted a dog and an unspecified number of cats. NY Law Protects Employees from Retaliation For Reporting Illegal Activities

New York has a new law protecting employees from retaliation for reporting llegal or dangerous business activities by their employer. The definition of employee is expanded to include former employees protecting those who may have been retaliated against post-employment. The Associated Press is reporting that Attorney General Leticia James will run for Governor next year as a Democrat challenging Governor Kathy Hochul for the nomination.
