A Delhi home is a total loss from a fire last Friday. Delhi firefighter found heavy smoke and flames on all sides of the Elk Creek home and immediatelly called for reinforcements resulting in crews from Bloomville, Bovina, East Meredith, Meridale and Walton responding. The two residents got out safely as did their dog but their 5 cats perished. Authorities say the home is a total loss and the Red Cross is aiding the family.
