A man is taken into custody in connection with a fatal accident that killed a Laurens man. State Police say Michael Goodspeed of Mount Vision hit the rider on July 2 while they were on State Route 205 near the intersection of Timer Road then left the scene. The bicyclist is identified as Michael Vargas and died at the scene. Goodspeed now faces felony charges
