Former 22nd District Congressman Anthony Brindisi announced he will not seek election in 2022. The Democrat says it is a critical time in his kids’ lives and wants to be closer to his family. Brindisi was first elected to Congress in 2018 after serving 7 years as a state Assemblyman. Before then Brindisi worked in his family’s law practice. Brindisi was defeated in 2020 by Repulbican Claudia Tenney in a highly contested election.
