A lifelong Oneonta resident declares his candidacy for the Town Board. Skylar Thompson graduated from Oneonta High School and Hartwick College majoring in political science. He is a commissioner of the West Oneonta Fire Department’s Board of Finance which he says provided the opportunity to manage and understand budgeting and finance. Thompson says he is runnning for Town Board because of his love for the community along with a love of politics and political history.
