State Senator Peter Oberacker joined with members of the Senate and Assembly Republican conferences to call for Governor Cuomo to release tenant and landlord relief funds supplied by the federal government. The senator says New York is holding $1.3 billion in federal COVID-19 assistance from the second round of CARES Act relief assistance which must be specifically distributed to tenants and landlords. The money needs to be used by Sept. 30 or it will be forfeited.
