For the first time in 8 years none of the nominees to the Baseball Hall of Fame were selected for induction. 25 players were on the slate voted on by the Baseball Writers Association of America and pitcher Curt Schilling received the most votes but was about 3% shy of the 75% needed to get into the Hall. There will still be an induction ceremony in July but that will be the 4 players voted into the Hall last year.
