The City of Oneonta reminds property owners and residents that they are required to shovel the public sidewalk in front of homes and businesses. It must be removed to the full width of the paved area and salt or sand applied in the event of ice accumulation. If snow or ice is not removed by 9:00 a.m. the day after accumulation the City will remove the snow at a rate of the cost for removal plus 50%.
