Water Main Flushing Continues In Oneonta

The Oneonta Department of Public Service continues to flush water mains in the high service area. During flushing, water users may experience a change in water color or pressure. Run cold water faucets to clear up any discoloring.

Bassett & Helios Hold Presentation On Advance Dire4ctives

Bassett Healthcare & Helios Care are partnering to bring Author Sallie Tisdale for a town hall event Thursday at 6:00 PM at the Bassett Medical Center’s Clark Auditorium. Tisdale will be talking about advance directives including a Health Care Proxy or a Living Will.

Still No State Budget; Temporary Measure Passed

State lawmakers pass a temporary spending measure to insure the state meets its obligations while negotiations continue on a new state budget. The measure funds the state government until the day after Easter. The budget deadline was Monday.

Oneonta Inclusive Business Award Voting Now Open

Voting is open for the Oneonta Inclusive Business Award. It is a joint initiative of SUNY Oneonta and Hartwick College aimed at fostering partnerships between area businesses, organizations, and the two institutions. Voting is open until April 14.

Rabid Raccoon Found In Delhi

A raccoon tested positive for rabies in the town of Delhi. One dog was bitten and it wasn’t up to date on vaccines so it is in a 6-month quarantine per state regulations. There were no other exposures.

Memorial Service Held For Unadilla Fire Chief

A memorial service was held last Saturday for former Unadilla Fire Chief Carl French, who died March 21 at the age of 81. French also was Otsego County Deputy Fire Coordinator for 36 years. He is buried at Evergreen Hill Cemetary.
