Credit Card Skimming Reported In DelCo

The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office received reports of residents who found unauthorized charges on their debit and credit cards. An investigation determined an activity referred to as “skimming” had occurred. The victims used their cards for gas purchases at an outside readder which was compromised.

DEC Announces 2022 Deer Harvest Estimates

The State Department of Environmental Conservation reports hunters harvested nearly 232,000 deer during the 2022 hunting seasons, a 10-percent increase from last year.Nearly 2,300 deer were harvested by youth hunters during the Youth Hunt Weekend, a 38% increase from 2021.

New Info Released On NB Animal Rescue

New information is released on an animal rescue at a New Berlin residence last week. Police say a total of f 61 dogs, 3 cats and 11 birds were rescued by multiple animal shelters. The Susquehanna SPCA is caring for nearly 3 dozen dogs.

\Exeter Man Charged In DV Incident

The Otsego County Sheriff’s Office reports a man from Exeter is facing multiple charges from a domestic disturbance investigation. It determined he assaulted and unlawfully imprisoned another person. The victim was brought to Bassett Hospital. An order of protection was issued on the victim’s behalf.

Bassett Conducting Skin Cancer Treatment Trial

Bassett Healthcare Network announced it is a clinical trial site for Alpha DaRT, an investigational treatment for recurrent skin cancers. Bassett Cancer Institute has received regulatory approval to conduct the trial and is the only site in New York outside New York City.

Hussein Trian Under Way

Jury selection began Monday in the trial of Naumann Hussein, the limo company owner whose vehicle crashed in Schoharie County nearly 5 years ago killing 20 people. Hussein is charged with not maintaining the limo and is to blame for the deaths.

Welcome Home Cooperstown Initiative Begins Today

Cooperstown Mayor Ellen Tillapaugh kicks off the “Welcome Home Cooperstown” initiative. All Otsego reports it has a series of monthly meet and greets beginning today from 5:30 p.m. at the Village Hall. The goal is to welcome newcomers and encourage them to make Cooperstown their permanent home.

Laurens Man Charged In Registration Scam

A man from Laurens faces charges for utilizing forged and fraudulent registrations to buy and sell vehicles. Police say he would purchase a vehicle then print off a temporary transit tag from Georgia to affix to the vehicle he was selling.
