Man Charged In Walton Domestic Dispute

A man is charged from an investigation into a Town of Walton domestic dispute. Police say the man made physical contact with a woman in an effort to prevent her from calling 911. The man was booked then released on his own recognizance.

Farmland Protection Implementation Grant Program Hits Milestone

New York’s Farmland Protection Implementation Grant program has helped preserve more than 107,000 acres of at-risk farmland through March. The completed conservation easement projects total more than $250 million on nearly 370 farms. Approximately 20 percent of the state’s land area is farmland.

Laurens Home Destroyed By Fire

A toewn of Laurens home was destrotyed in a huge fire on Thursday. Authorities say the blaze at the A-frame house on Mary Brown Hill Road started in the chimney and a rekindling was reported Friday morning. Firefighters were able to get it under control by noon.

2 Arrested In Walton On Outstanding Warrants

A suspicious vehicle report in the town oif Waltion results in 2 men taken into custody. According to the Delaware County Sheriff’s office the driver had an outstanding warrant out of Broome County while the passenger was wanted in connection to the driver’s warrant.

\Truck Hits Construction Vehicle In Cherry Valley

A tractor-trailer hit a construction vehicle on Route 20 in Cherry Valley last Thursday after the driver failed to move over in a work zone. State Police say the truck hit a crash pad on the vehicle that dulled the impact of the collision.
