HHS Students See Mock DUI Crash

Hancock High School students got to see what a DUI crash looks like when thw Hancock Fire Department comducted an assembly on Tuesday. Several students participated in the demonstration alongside paramedics. Organizers said the demonstration will encourage safety on prom night.

Probation Violation Lands Delhi Man Back In Jail

A man from Delhi who violated probation is back behind bars. Police say the was ordered to undergo drug abuse rehabilitation as part of his probation but he never finished the treatment program so his original 22-month jaiol sentence was reinstated.

Borthers Sentenced In Fatal Oneonta Stabbing

The 2 brothers pleading guilty in the 2022 death of Kaleb O’Neill will be in jail for 20 years to life. Prosecutors say Terry and Nicholas DeCutler fatally stabbed O’Neil in an Onenta alleyway. They were sentenced Monday in Otsego County Court.

A former state assemblyman who represented Chenango County for 2 decades has died. Gary Finch retired in 2020 as the state Assembly’s assistant minority leader and fifth-ranking member of the Republican leadership. He died last Friday at the age of 79.

Hussein Trial Opening Arguments Under Way

Prosecutors in the Nauman Hussain trial say the former limo operator bears “personal responsibility” for the deaths when the vehicle crashed in Schoharie. Hussein faces 20 counts of criminally negligent homicide in the 2018 crash that killed 18 in the limo and 2 bystanders.
