CWC Awards Watershed Education Grants

The Catskill Watershed Corporation awarded grants to area schools and non-profit organizations for watershed education projects and programs. Norwich Police Officer Exposed To Narcan

A Norwich police officer is recovering from exposure to airborne fentanyl. It happened last Friday as the officer was testing drugs seized in an arrest. He was administered the anti-opioid drug Narcan then hospitalized and released after several hours.

Arc Otsego Awarded $30,002 in Grants from NYSARC Trust Services

The Arc Otsegois awarded iver $30,000 in grants from NYS ARC Trust Services to support the nonprofit’s guardianship and recreation programs. NYS ARC Trust Services administers funding to help disabled individuals maintain eligibility for Medicaid and other means-tested government benefit programs.

DEC Reminds Boaters to ‘Clean. Drain. Dry.’

The state State Department of Environmental Conservation reminded boaters to clean, drain, and dry their boats and trailers and disinfect their fishing gear to prevent the spread of harmful aquatic invasive species. Boat stewards are deploying to educate and assist the public in cleaning equipment.

HHS Students See Mock DUI Crash

Hancock High School students got to see what a DUI crash looks like when thw Hancock Fire Department comducted an assembly on Tuesday. Several students participated in the demonstration alongside paramedics. Organizers said the demonstration will encourage safety on prom night.

Probation Violation Lands Delhi Man Back In Jail

A man from Delhi who violated probation is back behind bars. Police say the was ordered to undergo drug abuse rehabilitation as part of his probation but he never finished the treatment program so his original 22-month jaiol sentence was reinstated.
