A man from Schoharie is charged with Grand Larceny for stealing a car. State Police say they were called to a Cobleskill home on reports of an unwanted guest and that’s where they found the man and the stolen car.

Chenango County Man Sentenced In Road Rage Incident

It’s 4 years behing bars for a Chenango County man who pleaded guilty to assault charges in a Fenton road rage incident Prosecutors say Michael G. Seman admittined he stabbed a teen in the leg during an altercation last October. Seaman will also be on five years of post-release supervision.

Oneonta Receives RestoreNY Grant

The City of Oneonta receives a $900,000 grant through the Restore New York Communities Initiative/ The money will go to assist with the rehabilitation of the Fred VanWie Building on Dietz Street. The project will create four affordable residential units and a workshare space.

Splash Path 5k a colorful success

Pathfinder Village’s 10th annual Splash Path 5k and Fun Walk achieved a new fundraising milestone raising $30,000. The money supports the Pathfinder Produce Mobile Market and vocational programs for adults with intellectual disabilities. The event was held last Saturday.

New York Secretary of State Robert J. Rodriguez reminded businesses of a new law to protect consumers from potential gift card scams. Effective June 20 all businesses selling gift cards must display a notice to caution consumers about gift card fraud.

Unemployment Down Again In Otsego County

The state labor department reports Otsego County unemployment dropped again last month to 2.8%. Chenango County had 2.5% unemployment in April and it was , 2.9% in Delaware County. The state unemployment rate was 4% which is a tenth of a point decline.
