Police Identify Man Killed In Car-Pedestrian Accident

Police identified the man killed in a car-pedestrian accident in the town of Oneonta last week. He is 72-year-old Alan R. Weill of Oneonta. Weill was hit on State Route 205 near Country Club Road and investigators have located the car involved but the driver remains at large. Chenango County Health officials report 12 additional COVID-19 cases on Friday and there are 102 active cases. 7 people are hospitalized and 229 are in quarantine. Otsego county recorded 6 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday with the active count at 96. 5 people are in the hospital.

Chenango River Theatre Opens Seaon On Aug. 27

The Otsego County Department of Health reported 16 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday. The active case total is now 96. 5 people are hospitalized. Chenango County has 13 new cases as of Thursday. 207 people are in quarantine and 7 people are hospitalized. Neither county reported additional COVID-19 deaths. Chenango County Lawmakers Not Advancing Respectful Communication Resolution

Chenango County’s Safety and Rules Committee is not advancing a resolution encourageing residents to be respectful of differing political opinions.
