DVH Main Entrance Now Open

Beginning today the Main Entrance to UHS Delaware Valley Hospital will re-open to patients and visitors Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Anyone arriving after hours, on weekends or holidays should use the ER Walk-in Entrance. Source: Press release

Chenango County Reports 82nd COVID-19 Related Death

Chenango County records its 82nd COVID-19 related death. The individual’s age and gender were not released nor is it known if the person was vaccinated. There are 82 active COVID-19 cases and 5 people hospitalized. Otsego County has 121 active COVID-19 cases with 5 people hospitalized.

NY Takes New Measures to Combat COVID-19 Delta Variant

New York may soon implement weekly COVID-19 testing for unvaccinated public and charter school employees and to establish a vaccination requirement for all staff at state-regulated facilities and congregate settings. This comes after the state mandated COVID-19 vaccines for all health care workers. A timeline for the new requirements isn’t completed. COVID-19 Cases Up In Otsego & Chenango Counties

Otsego County recorded an additional two dozen COVID-19 cases on Monday. There are now 113 active cases with 6 people hospitalized. Chenango County reported 37 new COVID-19 cases since Friday with 76 cases active. 171 people are in quarantine while 5 remain hospitalized. Neither county recorded any additional COVID-19 related deaths.
