A longtime Cooperstown pharmacy has a new owner and it’s someone who knows the business well. Ribbon Cutting On Saturday For Badger Park Pavilion

Walton Gets State Grant & Loan For Drinking Water Systems

The Village of Walton receives a state grant and loan for its water storage and distribution system upgrades. The $1.2 million grant and $800,000 in short-term, market-rate financing comes from the state’s Water Infrastructure Improvement program. More than $44 million was awarded statewide for drinking water and wastewater projects. The rape trial of former Chenango County corrections officer Don Reese continues today. The Evening Sun reports Otsego County Court Judge John F. Lambert is presiding in the case with Otsego County District Attorney John Muehl as special prosecutor as local judicial officials recused themselves because Reese worked for the Sheriff’s Office. \COVID-19 Deaths In Delaware & Otsego Counties

Delaware County Public Health reports 4 more people died from COVID-19 related complications. The deaths happened between Oct. 9 and Wednesday. It’s not known if those people were vaccinated. There are now 59 COVID-19 related deaths. Otsego County recorded its 71st COVID-19 death on Wednesday and there were 23 new cases.
