The Town of Maryland offering a $100 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect who vandalized Borst Field last week. This month Otsego County Sheriff’s Office employees are participating in “No Shave November,” a web-based charity campaign that aims to raise funds for cancer research and education efforts. SUNY Oneonta held a graduation recognition and celebration for the Class of 2020 last Saturday in the Alumni Field House. Nearly 300 graduates and their families returned to SUNY Oneonta for the event, which featured student performances, speakers and the Leatherstocking District Pipe Band. The Chenango County Historical Society is holding a celebration of Ward School No. 2 in Norwich which was convered into a museum after being acquired in 1958. It opened 4 years later. A Norwich man previously convicted of sexual abuse will now be in jail for 35 years on a plea deal to new charges. Former Governor Andrew Cuomo is charged with forcible touching in connection with a December 2020 incident at the Governor’s mansion. According to prosecutors the incident involved an woman who was an aide to Cuomo. The former governor is due in court for arraignment next month. Source:

Charges are brought in a cruelty to animals investigation in Otego. The Otsego County Sheriff’s Office says the investigation determined a woman had neglicted a dog and an unspecified number of cats.
