The Oneonta Common Council is looking into modifying its smoking prohibition in city parks to include cannabis. A legislative committee is also investigating adding cannabis to the no-smoking rules in city buildings and on city property. A former Otsego County Jail inmate is facing additional felony charges after an investigation found they possessed meth while behind bars and sold some to other inmates. SUNY Oneonta joined colleges and universities across the nation on Monday in recognizing and highlighting the achievements of first-generation students, faculty, staff and alumni in observance of the annual National First-Generation College Celebration. The college also announced its establishment of a chapter of Alpha Alpha Alpha, the national honor society for first-generation students.
