A fire in Cherry Valley on Tuesday leaves one person dead. Police say it happened on County Road 34A and the individual was not able to get out of the burning travel trailer. Siidney Police reminds the public that winter parking restrictions are now in effect. There is no “on street parking” allowed on any street in the village from 12:01 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. until April 15th. A Sidney man is facing a felony charge from a domestic incident last month. Sidney Police say it happened in the Fox Street intersection area of Circle Dr. and an investigation found the man pulled a knife on the victim. New York unveils a $25 million package in grants and loans to improve housing conditions for farmworkers and to protect the health and safety of this critical workforce. The Farmworker Safety Housing Grant Program will fund the rehabilitation and replacement of existing substandard farmworker housing. Money comes from the 2020 CARES Act.
