SP Troop C Gets 2 New K-9s

State Police in Troop C have 2 new K-9 officers. They are Juna and Trick. Juna is named in memory of Trooper Richard T. Juna and Trick is in memory of Trooper Patrick O’Hara. Trick and his partner Trooper Darrell Dening are assigned to work out of the Oneonta station. Source:

Greene Restaurant Fire Under Investigation

An investigation is under way into a restaurant fire in Greene. Crews responded early Sunday to the Silo Restaurant on Moran Road and were on scene for around 8 hours. Close to a doen-and-a-half fire companies responded along with EMS and NYSEG crews. No injuries were reported. Otsego County Sheriff’s Office Uses Social Media To Asl For More Funding

Hartwick Man Faces Felony Child Sex Abuse Charges

A Hartwick man faces felony charges after an Otsego County Sheriff’s Office child sex abuse investigation. The department says the 66-year-old man had sexual contactwith a person under the age of 11. Walton Man Charged With Grand Larceny Faces New Grand Larceny Charge

A man from Walton already facng grand larceny charges is now charged in another incident where he charged more than $3,000 to another person’s credit card. The first incident involved taking more $53,000 in items from business associates in Walton and Franklin. The man was arraigned on the new charges then released. COVID-19 Deaths In Otsego & Delaware Counties

Otsego County reported 2 more COVID-19 related deaths last week bringing the total to 80. In Delaware County there were also 2 more COVID-19 related deaths last week bringing the total to 76. It’s not clear if any of the individuals were vaccinated.

Oxford Memorial Library Has EV Chargers

Electric vehicle owners visiting the Oxford Memorial Library can now recharge their vehicles now that 2 charging stations are operational. The stations were paid for through funding from the village along with state grants. The library already has a solar panel array installed in the parking lot and the charges are near it.
