2 More COVID-19 Deaths In Otsego County

The Otsego County Health Department reports 2 more people died from COVID-19 related complications. It’s not known if either individual was vaccinated. There are now 89 COVID-19 related deaths. Collision Results In Weapons Charges For Driver

A collision last Sunday in the Town of Tompkins results in the driver facing unrelated charges. Police say they found the man from Sidney Center had a pair of rifles in the car which as a convicted felony he was prohibited from possessing. The man was charged then released. According to WBNG Phil Fenton starrted as an apprentice with the Whitney Point Fire Department and joined the Greene department 15 years ago. He is still an active firefighter. NY Lowers CDL Class A Minimum Age To 18

New York lowers the age for a Class A commercial driver license to 18 as a way to address the shortage of truck drivers. It’s the last state to lower the qualifying age from 21.
