The City of Oneonta’s curbside residential brush and yard waste collection program starts up on April 11 and runs through November. State Breaks 1 Gigawatt Solar Power Milestone

Gov. Kathy Hochul announced the state now has more than one gigawatt of community solar power facilities in operation which is enough to power 200,000 homes. SQSPCA Raises Over $11k For Ukranian Animal Shelters

The Susquehanna SPCA raises over $11,000 for animal shelters in Ukraine which doubles their original goal. SUNY Oneonta & VMCC Expand Degree Program Partnership

SUNY Oneonta is expanding its partnership with Mohawk Valley Community College to provide childhood education students a path for earning a master’s degree. West Edmeston Man Killed In Madison County Crash

A man from West Edmeston is killed in a Madison County crash. Police say the man was heading north on Beaver Creek Road when his SUV left the highway and hit several trees coming to rest overturned and partially in a creek. He died at the scene. Otsego County Sheriff’s Office Welcomes K-9 Tracer

The Otsego County Sheriff’s Office adds a new K-9 officer to its team. K-9 Tracer is assigned to Handler Deputy Sheriff Jessica Thornhill and the pair were certified as an Explosive Detection Canine Team in June of 2020.
