This year’s St. Baldrick’s Foundation head-shaving event in Norwich raised over $52,000. The Evening Sun reports there were 40 participants with nearly three-quarters offering to have their heads shaved in solidarity with childhood cancer patients. Schoharie County Man Charged In Shooting At Firehouse

A Schoharie County man faces a criminal mischief charge from a shooting incident causing damage at a firehouse and a neighboring property. 2 Delhi Men Charged In Catalytic Converter Theft

2 men from Delhi face multiple felony charges from a State Police catalytic converter theft investigation. The men are accused of stealing a converter from a vehicle in Delhi then selling it to a Davenport auto parts yard. Both men are free on their own recognizance. Area Unemployment Numbers Released For January

Otsego County’s Unemployment rate for January was 4.1% according to the state Department of Labor. A year ago it was 6.1%. Chenango and Delaware County’s rate was 4% and those were also well down from January 2021. Statewide unemployment is at 5.3% compared to 9.3% a year ago.
