Cooperstown Flies Ukranian Flag

The Village of Cooperstown shows its solidarity with Ukraine by raising that country’s flag over the entrance of Village Hall. According to All Otsego the Board of Trustees approved the flag display and it was raised last Friday by a woman whose brother-in-law serves in the Ukrainian reserves. USAF Heritage of America Band Performing At FPAC

The Chenango County Sheriff’s Office is seeking tips to catch the suspect in a March 1 Town of Greene larceny. Investigators say an Arctic Cat 4-wheeler was stolen. It is green with a brush guard. Cobleskill Receives State Money For Wastewater Project

The Village of Cobleskill receives over $2 million in short-term, interest-free financing and a $747,250 grant for wastewater treatment plant and collection system improvements. The money comes from the state’s Clean Water Project Fund and the Cobelskill project is one of 19 statewide to receeive funding. Daylight Saving Time starts on Sunday and the Firefighters Association of the State of New York says check your smoke detectors when you change your clocks. Replace the Detector’s batteries and for ones with sealed batteries check the expiration date. Over 50 people died in fires statewide so far this year. Bail Denied For State Trooper Shooter Appealing Conviction

The Deposit man appealing his attempted first-degree murder conviction for shooting a State Trooper is denied bail while his case is being heard. Prosecutors say Scott Mawhiney opened fire when the trooper arrived to investigate a domestic abuse call. Mawhiney received a 30-year sentence. DMV Enhances Driver License And ID Cards

The DMV announced changes to driver license and ID cards. Text and images are now embossed plus the embedded chip is now exposed. Photos will now show the individual’s birth month and year when viewed at an angle. The new cards began being issued on Thursday. Richfield Springs To Soon Break Ground On Sports Complex
