Fire Destroys Hartwick Home

2 people are injured after a fire completely destroyed a home in Hartwick on Thursday. It happened on Earls Road and part of Route 205 was shut down for a period of time. 3 dogs perished in the blaze. The fire’s cause is being investigated. Middleburgh Extends Wind Farm Moratoriuj

The Town of Middleburgh extends its moratorium on large-scale wind power projects through this July. According to the Times-Journal lawmakers may vote next month on making the moratorium permanent. DCSO Deputy Receives Sheriff’s Superstar Award

A Delaware County Sherriff’s deputy is recognized for rescuing a man who was suffering a stroke. Deputy Samantha Acuna responded to a welfare check call and rendered first aid. Grants Awarded For Bramley Mountain Fire Tower Reconstruction

The Delaware County Economic Development Office’s Tourism Grant Program provided a $25,000 capital improvement grant and the Catskill Watershed Corporation has contributed $30,000 for reserve funding to the Friends of Bramley Mountain Fire Tower for rehabilitating the structure. $60,000 had been previously raised for the tower construction. Charlotteville Store Cited For Underage Tobacco Sales

A Charlottevile retailer is cited for selling tobacco products to a purchaser under the age of 21. According to the Schoharie County Department of Health the store also sold vaping products with nicotine which is also a violation of the New York State Public Health Law.
