Norwich Man Charged With Arson

Norwich police apprehend a suspect in an arson last month at the Golden Age Apartments. According to the Evening Sun the man from Norwich started a dumpster fire and it was quickly extinguished but not before a surrounding fence was damaged. The man is jailed on $10,000 bail. Former Cooperstown Police Offices Takes Plea Deal To Accidental GHun Discharge Charge

The former Cooperstown police officer who injured two people by accidentally discharging his personal handgun while at a restaurant pleaded guilty to reckless endangerment on Thursday. Vincent Cavalieri was charged in the 2020 incident last month. He was sentenceds to a one-year conditional discharge meaning no jail time. Fatal Motorcycle Crash In Schoharie

A motorcyclist died in a crash Tuesday on I-88 in Schoharie. According to State Police the rider was speeding and troppers gave chase but broke it off after losing sight of the rider.
