Dr. Tracy P. Johnson is named as SUNY Oneonta’s vice president for Student Affairs. Dr. Johnson comes to Oneonta from Dallas College in Texas, where she served as the inaugural associate vice chancellor of student wellness and support. The town of Meredith could become home to a solar power farm. According to 12 News a public meeting on the proposed project takes place on May 17 at the East Meredith firehouse. New York’s congressional primaries are delayed until August after a federal judge orders the postponement so redrawn district maps can be implemented. The state supreme court found the maps were unconstitutional because they favored Democratic candidates. Other primary elections will still take place next month. Gilbertsville-Mount Upton swept the Otsego County Film Plastic Recycling Challenge, with a combined total of 1,517 pounds of film plastic recycled.
