Visitation at the Chenango County Correctional Facility is suspended due to the increased threat of COVID-19 in the area. Otsego & Chenango County Underage Drinking Detail Results In 1 Violation

State Police conducted an underage drinking detail in Otsego and Chenango counties and of the 11 businesses checked 1 in Smithville Flats was in violation. During the detail retail establishments are checked using a trooper in plain clothes and one or several underaged operatives who cannot lie about their age. Mill Race Trail Temporarily Closed

The west part of the Neahwa Park ‘Mill Race Trail’ is currently closed due to a pathway construction project. Eventually this project will impact the east section of this trail as well. Driver Killed In Davenport Head-On Crash Is Identified

Roseboom Man Charged With Felony Child Sexual Abuse

A Roseboom man faces multiple felony charges from a sexual abuse of a minor investigation. According to the Otsego County Sheriff’s Office the abuse happened in the towns of Milford, Cherry Valley, and Roseboom over a 5-year period. The man was taken into custody on Thursday. CFOC Creates Cooperstown Food Pantry Fund

The Community Foundation of Otsego County announces the creation of the Cooperstown Food Pantry Fund. It will assist the pantry with investment management, accepting gifts from supporters, and monitoring investment activities. The Pantry has been in operaion for 45 years. Dog Killed In Oneonta Fire

A dog is killed in a fire at a High St. residence in Oneonta. According to Assistant Fire Chief Timothy J. Foster it happened last Saturday and reinforcements were called in from 5 other companies. HML Receives Grant To Digitize Books

The Huntington Memorial Library receives a $5,000 grant to digitize its collection of Oneonta city directories and Oneonta City School District High School yearbooks. The grant from the South Central Regional Library Council will help expand public access to the content while reducing wear and tear on the physical books. Source: Press release
