NY Lawmakers Want Recall Elections

Following the recall of San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin, state lawmakers are proposing New York enable conducting recall elections for DAs. Currently only the Governor has the legal authority to remove a sitting district attorney or any other elected official. A similar law was proposed 10 years ago. Road Work Starting Monday In Meredith

The Delaware County Department of Public Works will begin milling and paving on CR 14 starting Monday until the project is complete. SUNY Cobleskill Officially Opens Dairy Processing Cente

SUNY Cobleskill held an official ribbon cutting on Wednesday at its new Dairy Processing Center on Wednesday.The Tines-Journal reports the $1.3 million facility has been helping local farmers process milk, cheese curds, and soft cheeses since last fall. Maryland Teenager Charged With Sexual Assault

A town of Maryland teenager faces 2 felony charges for sexually assaulting another juvenile. According to the Otsego County Sheriff’s office the 16-year old was charged after an investigation into reports of forcible sexual acts. SUNY Chosen Name and Pronoun Policy to Create More Open and Accepting Environments on Campuses

The State University of New York Board of Trustees directed all SUNY campuses to update their policies regarding the use of a chosen name and pronouns to ensure that transgender, gender non-conforming, and non-binary students’ identities are fully reflected and represented in campus systems.
