It’s primary election day in New York and if you didn’t vote early polls are open until 9:00 p.m. Statewide races include governor and lieutenant governor contests for Democrat candidates and governor candidates in the Republican party. Congressional candidate voting doesn’t take place until late August because of delays in completing redistricting.

An Otsego County jail inmate ends up in more trouble after an investigation determined he violated a protection order. According to the Otsego County Sheriff’s Office the man from New Berlin is now facing a second-degree criminal contempt charge. He is to appear in Town of Otsego court at a later date.
