New York has new laws targeting anti-consumer ticketing practices in the live event industry. The measures ban hidden fees and expand penalties for using ticket purchasing software or scalper bots. Delivery fees are now prohibited on tickets that are sent electronically or printed at home. The mobile cancer screening coach will be at the Stamford Tops on July 28 from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. to provide no cost mammograms and Pap tests to people 40 and over. The City of Norwich is installing 4 electric vehicle chargers. Officials say they signed an agreement with Greenspot to obtain the chargers at no cost. State troopers catch a 19-year-old man in the act of burglarizing a town of Oneonta business. When officers arrived they found the man was in possession of stolen merchandise from the store. The man who is frm Meredith is charged with felony burglary and is free on his own recognizance. A fugitive from North Carolina is taken into custody in Norwich on Wednesday. Norwich police and the U.S. Marshals Service located the man at a Columbia Street address and took him into custody without a struggle.
