The Susquehanna SPCA is working to help find homes for 12 dogs that would do best in families without small children or other pets. 2 DCSO Deupties Promoted To Sergeant

The Delaware County Sheriff’s office promotes 2 deputies to the rank of Sergeant. Tyler McAteer, a 7-year veteran is assigned to the Law Enforcement Road Patrol Division. Hancock FD Makes Slow Progress In Implementing State Audit Recommendations

Personnel from State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli’s office visited the Hancock Fire Department to follow up on changes made since a 2019 audit. Auditors determined the department made limited progress implementing corrective action. Of the 10 audit recommendations, one recommendation was implemented, three were partially implemented, and six were not implemented. WDB Gets Federal Funding For Training Program

Individuals with disabilities in Chenango, Delaware, Otsego and Schoharie counties will get additional assistance finding a job. Nearly $3 million is awarded to the area Workforce Development Board to help connect job seekers with high-demand industries. NY has a new free hotline for those who test positive for COVID-19, but don’t have a health care provider. It is being operated by the state department of health and can be reached at 888-TREAT-NY. It is staffed 24/7 with professionals with clinical training to prescribe treatment and referrals if needed.
