A barn on State Route 23 in North Pharsalia was destroyed by fire on Wednesday. According to the Evening Sun first-arriving crews found the barn fully engulfed so reinforcements were called in. No imjuries were reported but at least one calf and possibly other small livestock died. The New York State Sheriff’s Association unveils a new mental health awareness program for first responders. The program is in partnership with AT&T First Net and includes crisis and trauma training; PTSD awareness; suicide prevention and a peer-to-peer hotline which can be utilized internally or with a department in another county. New York’s Attorney General Letitia James is appealing a recent court decision that COVID-19 isolation and quarantine procedures are unconstitutional. A shooting threat on Wednesday at the Delaware County Court House turned out to be false. Police say they evacuated the downtown Main Street area and the Delhi Farmer’s Market that was being held on the Courthouse Square.
