The State University of New York announced it has created a Mental Health Resource Finder for students. It has campus and county resource informastion and details on services offered, contact information and hours of operation. June County Unemployment Rates Released

The NY Department of Labor released the June unemployment rates for each region and county. In Chenango County unemployment is 3% while in Otsego County it’s 3.1% and in Delaware County it’s 3.5%. Chenango County VSO Pitches Full-Time Upgrade

Chenango County lawmakers are asked to change the Veteran Services Officer position from part-time to full-time. The Evening Sun reports Officer Joe Coe pitched the idea saying his workload has greatly increased since the position was created in 2018. A county committee is reviewing the proposal. Cobleskill Looking At Becoming A City

Cobleskill lawmakers are looking at possibly turning the town and village into a city. According to the Times-Journal officials plan to seek proposals for conducting a survey on a possible merger. Passenger Killed In Pittsfield Crash

A one-vehicle crash in the town of Pittsfield early Saturday morning takes a passenger’s life. State police say the driver left Shacktown Mountain Road and his car hit multiple trees. Felony Charges Filed In Hamden Domestic Dispute

Felony charges are filed in a town of Hamden domestic dispute investigation. According to State Police it happened at a Chambers Hollow Road residence where troopers learned the suspect choked then menaced the victim with a firearm. The victim was treated by paramedics but not hospitalized. The suspect was apprehended after a standoff.
