Davenport Man Charged In Wife’s Death

A man from Davenport is charged with manslaughter and criminally negligent nomicide in connection with his wife’s death. Police say he did not call for help when his wife was suffering from a medical event that turned out to be fatal. He is jailed on $30,000 cash bail or $75,000 bond.

Middleburgh Man Arrested For Violating Protection Order

A man from Middleburgh faces multiple charges after defying a court order to stay away from children that were in his care during a violent outburst. State Police say the man was initially charged after an investigation on Sunday and the man violated the order on Monday. He is now in jail.

Herkimer County Jail Inmate Charged In Otego Larceny

A Herkimer County jail inmate is facing charges from a town of Otego larceny investigation. Police say the man burglarized a storage unit facility while a small child was present. The man was arraigned then returned to the custody of the Herkimer County Correctional Facility.

Injured Eagle Continuing To Recover

Now an update on the injured eagle found Saturday at Brookwood Point in the Cooperstown area. The Otsego County Sheriff’s office reports the eagle is at the Cornell University Animal Hospital and its condition is improving. The goal is to continue treatment and schedule a release for this eagle back into its home environment

Stolen Vehicle Investigation Results In Norwich man’s Arrest

A stolen vehicle investigation between the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office and the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office results in a Norwich man facing multiple charges. According to investigators the car was stolen from Tompkins County and was found Monday near Jones Road and County Road 34. The man is being held without bond.

SUNY Oneonta Move In Volunteers Needed

Human Remains Found In Morris

An investigation is under way into human remains found last week in Morris. According to Newschannel 2 the Otsego County District Attorney’s office reported two people were out metal-detecting off a seasonal road and smelled something. An autopsy is being conducted to determine the person’s identity and cause of death.
