Davenport Man Charged With Unlawful eviction

A Davenport man is charged following a Delaware County Sheriff’s Office domestic incident investigation. The victim told deputies the man turned off power to her residence to try and evict her from the home. He was booked then released on hs own recognizance.

NYFB Survey Finds Thanksgiving Dinner Price Up Over 25%

The New York Farm Bureau released its Thanksgiving 2022 Market Basket Survey which found the price of a traditional holiday dinner is over 25% more than last year. The average total price, which includes a 16-pound turkey is $66.39. In 2021 the price was $52.59.

Delhi Suspicious Vehicle Call Leads To Arrest

A suspicious vehicle call in the Town of Delhi leads to a man facing several charges including an outstanding arrest warrant. Police were called to a Hoag Cross Road address and an investigation determined the man possessed drugs and was wanted by the Village of Sidney court.

November Is Transgender Awareness Month

Governor Kathy Hochul proclaims November as Transgender Awareness Month. Hochul says this is also an opportunity to raise awareness about the discrimination and attacks transgender, gender non-conforming and non-binary people face across the world. The proclamation designates November 20 as Transgender Day of Remembrance.

Stamford Domestic Dispute Leads To A Felony Charge

A domestic dispute in Stamford leads to a man facing felony charge. Police say the man damaged the victim’s personal property during the incident. He was booked for felony criminal mischief then released on his own recognizance pending a future court appearance.

An audit from State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli’s office finds the Department of Labor’s Unemployment Insurance system weakened oversight and ultimately contributed to billions in improper payments during the COVID-19 pandemic. DiNapoli says DOL officials did not heed warnings as far back as 2010 that its UI system was out of date.
