A man is facing multiple charges from a one-car crash in Hartwick. According to the Otsego County Sheriff’s office the man who is from Fly Creek struck a utility pole then ran away from the crash. He was located a short distance away and charged then released.

Bassett Hospital in Coopewrstown receives a U.S. Department of Agriculture grant to improve health care facilities and expand critical services. The $229,000 grant is part of more that $13 million awarded to over 2009 rural health care organizations across New York.
An Amazon delivery truck caught fire Wedfnesday on Bedbug Hill RoadBedbug Hill Road in the Town of Otsego. State troopers were first on the scene and found the truck was fully engulfed. No injuries were report and the fire is under investigation.

New York ends the practice of charging an additional fee to debtors when collecting outstanding debts owed to the State resulting from educational expenses. Prior to this law, a fee of 22 percent was added by state law on top of the total debt due. Various agencies collect educational debts owed to the State.
