Man Charged In Fatal Pittsfield Crash

A felony charge is made in a Town of Pittsfield fatal collision last July. Police say a Montgomery County mas was at the wheel when his car crashed on Shacktown Mountain Road killing a passenger. The man was arraigned for vehicxular manslaughter.

Roseboom Man Found To Be Wanted In Florida

A man from Roseboom taken into custody in connection with an incident turns out to be wanted on multiple felony probation warrants in Florida. The manb is remanded to the Otsego County Correctional Facility to await arraignment. It’s not clear if extradition proceedings were ordered.

Maryland Man Charged With Impersonating A Cop

A man from the Town of Maryland is charged with impersonating a police officer. According to the Otsego County Sheriff’s Office the man contacted a business last September and made false claims that he was a law enforcement officer. He was booked then released pending a future court date.

NY Expands Employer Breastfeeding Accomodation Requirements

New York now requires employers to expand accommodations for breastfeeding including creating pumping spaces that are convenient and private with access to running water and electricity. It also requires employers to develop and implement a written policy regarding employee rights when breastfeeding in the workplace.

Virk-Baker Named CCE DelCo ED

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Delaware County names Dr. Mandeep Virk-Baker as its new executive director. Virk-Baker served in several high-level state and academic leadership positions over a more-than-two-decade career. She lives on a 24-acre family farm in West Oneonta.
