Bassett Healthcare Network will be looking for a new chief executive of A.O. Fox Hospital as Jeff Joyner is leaving the position. All Otsego reports Joyner resigned to pursue other opportunities. He will be staying on for three more months.

Bassett Closing 2 Clinics

Bassett Healthcare Network announced the closure of 2 clinics. According to All Otsego the Stamford Health Clinic on State Route 23 is now permanently closed. The Sidney Health Clinic on River Street will be closing permanently on March 31.

Meredith Man Pleads Guilty To Harrasment

A man from Meredith charged with harassment and criminal contempt takes a plea deal. Prosecutors say Jonathan Sanchez pleaded guilty to harassing an individual who was under an order of protection. Sanchez will remain in jail until space at a rehabilitation center becomes available.

Forest Rangers Train At Looking Glass Pond

Deparetment of Environmental Conservation Forest Rangers participated in a recent Flat Ice Rescue Training session held in the town of Summit. It took place on Looking Glass Pond and the training included field exercises where Rangers demonstrated their self-rescue, reach, and throw-and-go skills.

Driver Who Hit Sidney Teen Facing 10 Charges

The woman who hit a teenager with her car in the Village of Sidney last month is now facing charges. Prosecutors say she was indicted on 10 counts in the inciden that critically injured the teenager. The woman pleaded not guilty to all charges in Delaware County Court.

Chenango County Man Pleads Guilty To Attempted Assault

A man from Cheenango County charged in a town of Fenton attempted assault takes a plea deal. Prosecutors say Michael G. Seaman admitted he stabbed a teenager in the leg during a road rage incident last October. Seaman faces 4 years in state prison and 5 years of post-release supervision.

2 Men Charged In Walmart Larceny

Two men from Rome are charged with larceny for stealing items from Walmart in Oneonta. State Police say one man was caught loading the stolen merchandise into a truck and the other was still inside taking more items. One of the two had an Oneida County arrest warrant.

Oneonta Mayor Mark Drnek delivered the State of the City address on Tuesday. He set a goal of bringing 1,000 new or returning residents to Oneonta dueing the next year. Drnek akso addressed homelessness saying ensuring their wellness is the city’s responsibility as a caring community.

Cooperstown ZBA Turns Down STR Permit Application

The Cooperstown Zoning Board of Appeals rejects a request to allow short-term rentals at a Lake Street property. All Otsego reports the board turned down the request on Tuesday after a public hearing. It’s not clear if the permit applicant will appeal the decision.
