Walton Man Arrested On Multiple Charges

Delhi Police arrested a man from Walton for Grand Larceny, Petit Larceny, Auto Stripping and Making a False Written Statement. The man was taken into custody on March 10 and booked with a Delhi Town Court appearance set for a later date.

New Online Tool to Help New Yorkers Access Child Care

Smith Running For Delaware County DA

Delaware County’s acting District Attorney announces he will run for the permanent position this November. Shawn Smith became the acting DA when former DA John Hubbard became county court judge at the beginning of the year. He’s seeking the Republican nomination and is endorsed by the Conservative Party.

New York’s Maple Weekends Start Saturday

New York’s Maple Weekends events and activities take place March 18-19 and 25-26. The state’s maple producers experienced a record-breaking year in 2022, producing 845,000 gallons of maple syrup. New York State continues to rank second in the nation in maple production.

NY Leads Country In Residential Fire Deaths

There’s been 45 residential fire deaths in New York so far this year and officials say that’s the most in the country. In 2017, 2018, and 2019, New York was number one in the nation in fire deaths. Last year 144 New Yorkers died in residential fires.

Margaretville Woman Charged In Domestic Dispute

A woman from Margaretville is charged from a Delaware County Sheriff’s Office domestic dispute investigation that found she threatened the victim both in person and via telephone. The court also granted an order of protection on behal;f of the victim.
