5 Oneonta businesses are being recognized for their dedication to diversity and inclusion with the newly established Oneonta Inclusive Business Award given jointly by SUNY Oneonta and Hartwick College.The inaugural winners were announced and recognized during a ceremony on May 9 at SUNY Oneonta.

Suspect Admits To Shooting Turkey On Posted Property

On May 1, opening day of the spring turkey hunting season, State Environmental officers responded to a complaint of a wild turkey shot from a public roadway in the town of Hancock. A suspect admitted to shooting the bird on posted property from the roadway.

OCSO & SQSPCA Investigating Dog Deaths

The Otsego County Sheriff’s Office and the Susquehanna SPCA are investigating a dog complaint in the Town of Pittsfield. A complaint was received about two deceased dogs found within a creek. Call the Sheriff’s Office of the SPCA if you have any information on these deaths.

CWC Awards Watershed Education Grants

The Catskill Watershed Corporation awarded grants to area schools and non-profit organizations for watershed education projects and programs. Norwich Police Officer Exposed To Narcan

A Norwich police officer is recovering from exposure to airborne fentanyl. It happened last Friday as the officer was testing drugs seized in an arrest. He was administered the anti-opioid drug Narcan then hospitalized and released after several hours.
