The Otsego County Voard of Representatives declared a state of emergency over concerns undocumented immigrants will be transported in from overcrowded cities. Accoding to a news release the state of emergency will last for 30 days, until June 15.

A man from Meredith is taken into custody on a federal warrant for the charge of Sexual Exploitation of a Child. According to the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office the man was booked into the Delaware County Correctional Facility pending arraignment in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District.

Over 60 SUNY Oneonta students and the Sport and Exercise Sciences department partnered with Special Olympics to host a regional track and field event at Oneonta High School on May 7. Close to 30 Special Olympic athletes and three adaptive athletes participated.
