Friends of Recovery- Delaware Otsego recently collaborated with Delaware County Public Health Services to offer people a scientific understanding behind addiction and recovery. Participants were given a with a safe space so they could discuss their personal battles with addiction while being offered multiple resources.

Free Swimming Lessons In Delaware County

Delaware County Public Health’s Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs Program is offering free group swimming lessons at the Catskill Recreation Center in Arkville. Classes will be offered on Tuesdays, July 11th-August 29th, between 4pm-6pm. Children must be special needs residents of Delaware County.

Red Dragon Drive Road Work To Start July 5

SUNY Oneomta announced that due to weather and scheduling conflicts, the road work on Red Dragon drive near Physical Science will occur July 5-7. This work will close one lane near the crosswalkto repair drainage and paving. Oneonta Public transit will be operating a temporary bus stop.

Welfare Check In Oneonta Leads To Drug Charge

A welfare check in the town of Oneonta ends up with a 70-year-old man facing a drug charge. Police say an investigation determined he illegally possessed a controlled substance. The man was booked then released on his own recognizance.

Deposit Mother & Son Face Drug Charges

A traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle in Stafford ends up with a mother and son facing drug charges. Police say the vehicle was uninspected and had switches license plates. The two who are from Deposit may faxe additional charges as the investigation continues.
